A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones Laravel uses and why.
Cookies we set
Essential. A session cookie and a security token that keep the site working and protect forms from cross-site request forgery. The site cannot function without these.
Preference. Small values remembering choices you have made, such as dismissing a notice or your cookie choices themselves.
Cookies set by others
Advertising. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits.
Analytics. We may use analytics cookies to count visits and understand which articles are read. These tell us about audiences, not individuals.
Affiliate tracking. When you follow one of our affiliate links or use a discount code, the shop or affiliate network sets a cookie recording that you came from this site, so a sale can be credited to us. It is set by them, not by us, and it typically lasts anywhere from a day to a few months depending on the programme. Blocking it costs you nothing and costs us the commission.
Controlling cookies
You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies in its settings - blocking essential cookies will stop parts of this site working.
