Laravel is free to read because it earns money in the background. This page explains exactly how, so you can read the rest of the site knowing who pays for it.
Affiliate links
An affiliate link carries a code identifying this site. If you follow one and go on to buy or sign up for something, the company pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price - the commission comes out of the seller's margin, not your pocket.
[List the programmes you are actually in. A specific list is far more credible than "various partners", and some programmes require you to name them.]
Discount and promo codes
Many of the codes we publish are affiliate codes: when you use one, the shop can see the sale came from us and pays us for it. Some are ordinary public codes that earn us nothing, and we do not distinguish between the two when deciding which to publish - a better code wins whether or not it pays us.
We do not control any of these codes. The shop sets them, changes them and withdraws them, sometimes the same day. See our disclaimer for what that means in practice.
Sign-up and third-party offers
Some articles link to offers where we are paid when a reader registers, completes a sign-up, or reaches some step the company has set - a first deposit, a first order, a completed profile. The payment comes from that company, not from you.
These offers belong to the company running them, not to us. Their eligibility rules, their terms and their privacy policy apply, and we cannot make an exception for you if you do not qualify.
Advertising
Separately from all of the above, this site carries display advertising. How that works, and how to opt out of personalised ads, is covered in our privacy policy and cookie policy.
Where you will see a disclosure
Any article containing affiliate links carries a notice at the top of it, above the article, before you reach any of the links. That is deliberate. The FTC's standard is that a reader notices, reads and understands a disclosure, and it says plainly that burying one at the bottom of a page - or on a page like this one alone - does not meet it.
What it does not change
We recommend what we would recommend anyway. A commission never buys a place on a list, a higher position, or a kinder verdict, and we do not accept payment for a specific review outcome.
[If you have ever dropped a recommendation despite it earning well, or published that an offer was not worth taking, say so here. One real example does more for trust than a paragraph of assurances.]
Sponsored and gifted
